Probably a daft post but I do worry a bit about ds, who is coming up for eight months. I have done as much as I can with him, swimming and baby classes, and he does have toys but I haven’t done things like reading with him anything like as much as I should have. Most of our activities have been long walks in the pram or sling.
So ds does babble, but not loads. He has an array of noises - coos and trills (love these, so cute) and a displeased shout and an excited/happy shout. No real word sounds yet.
He can roll like a champion but can’t crawl yet. He sort of gets himself into position but doesn’t pull himself forward. He can actually stand with support and sit unaided.
Eye contact is good and he’s very happy. He smiles a lot and chuckles (this makes my heart melt)
He has just started with separation anxiety but not too bad, can be cuddled out of it.
I just worry as he’s a lockdown baby - I’ve met a couple of babies who do seem more advanced but I think it’s that they are ahead and not that he’s behind. Can anyone just reassure me, or give me pointers? Sorry, I know I fuss!
