Just a query. My 3yo is autistic altho not formally diagnosed yet but the Paedtrician said so. Anyway he's speech delayed with only single words and a social communication delay so he's not motivated to speak.
When we are at home we have games we play to get him to engage in speech and we read books etc but his fav thing ever is being outside on his balance bike. But then he goes all serious and is taking it all in so even when I speak to him and show him stuff etc he just looks serious and hardly shows he's listening lol. He's so absorbed in the world around him I think which is great as outdoors is great for kids and I want to encourage that but then when we do go out it's even harder to get him to speak
