Formula feeding question

Hi I'm just wondering if there is a max amount of formula to feed a baby of any size / age? My son is 12 weeks and 17lbs already. He's quite long and a bit chubby but not too much.

My health visitor keeps telling me to follow his cues etc but I am getting confused as he used to always want to eat but lately he is eating less. Do they reach a point / age / weight where they stop eating as much and if so could I already be at that point? He really is a big baby. I read online in a few places not to feed more than 32oz but also to work out formula as 2.5 oz per lb of body weight. Well that's 42.5oz! He's quite refluxy and I'm not sure if that's through over feeding.

Anyone got any thoughts on this?

I just fed my LO whenever they wanted it. It's different if your HV has advised they need to cut back but mind said to just feed LO when they were hungry.

Did you discuss reflux with the HV/GP? He might get through less if he brings less back up.
