4 months - no cooing/babbling

Hello, please help me put my mind at ease. My DD is 4 months (+1 week) and she has never really started cooing or babbling. There was this one week at 3,5 months when she cooed like crazy and I was so happy thinking oh my god, finally, she's okay. But then it stopped and now she's not cooing anymore. By now I feel like she should also be babbling, no? She had a hearing test - passed with flying colors. She smiles and laughs all the time and moves a lot, can turn from back to belly, is starting to try to crawl when on tummy and has perfect head control. Anyone had the same experience and their baby was okay? PLEASE share in the comments, I'm so worried.

Totally normal! She's clearly focusing on her gross motor, don't worry at all. They can only do one thing at a time Smile My first DS was the same.

Babbling is a 8/9 month milestone. Cooing will come for sure. As previous poster said they definitely put some things on hold while
They master New skills

She will be 2 y.o. tomorrow and she's doing amazing. She's already talking in full senteces of up to 5 words, talks literally non-stop, is very caring and kind and is such a happy kid. I was worried for nothing.
