Hellllp!
I'm driving myself mad. My baby girl started babbling at 7.5months. Only a couple of sounds at first. She is 8 months now and the babbling is more frequent, but its only ever to herself. If I join in to do back and forth, she either stops and disengages or she looks at me and smiles. No turn taking, no back and forth, no imitation.
I'm not sure what age she was supposed to start babbling by? Is this the normal development pattern? Do they babble to themselves before they start to turn take etc?
My eldest is autistic and he never babbled at all so I'm not used to any babbling at this age, and my worry is that it's late babbling or not typical babbling.
Any thoughts welcomed x
