what age do babies normally roll over? is 4 weeks early?

Yes, it is. And it's always fluke at that age.

Dd rolled at 14 weeks and people told me that was early.

dd1 was fast learning to roll at 12 weeks or so.

it took dd2 months to learn how to roll.

yes it is but at this age it might be accidental. ds rolled early too but it wasnt til about five months old that he started rolling cos he actually WANTED to - before that it always seemed to surprise him. you can tell when they're rolling properly cos they do it over and over again and each time look at you expectantly for the fanfare of applause...
