My 4 year old has always come across as reasonably able. Not saying she’s any sort of advanced genius but her talking is very good and she’s supposedly doing well in phonics at pre-prep.
I’m concerned though that she’s starting to have problems folllowing instructions.
Here is one example though it happens other times. She goes to a tennis group with kids the same age and when I watch she just doesn’t seem to GET it. When they’re told to do something she seems to stand there and have to watch the others or be told again what to do or where to go and just seems generally behind. I know some kids are good at sport and I’m not concerned about that if she’s not but the fact when they’re told for example to collect in the balls, she’s standing there whilst the others are running around makes me thing there’s something not clicking.
