July 19th will be the point of no return apparently. Will we continue masking, shielding, working from home (If we can). How will we deal with people who are revelling in the new freedom?

I'm not sure you've posted in the right section @MobilityCat.

This one is about child development really.

You might be better posting in the Covid Section.

Hi, I am wondering if anyone else has found that covid has affected their child's development? My DD was 2 in march and still not talking. She doesn't see other kids or go to crèche

When you say she's not talking, how do you communicate? My DGD is an only child and because my son understood her gestures and sounds indicating her needs and wants without encouranging proper speech.

As a result at 5 she is lazy about pronunciation although she can say the words, but she has strong leadership qualities and makes friends easily.

Not going to Nursery or Crèche shouldn't have affected his development as all of the research suggests that babies develop better if they are home with you for the first 3 years.

If she's not taking at this age though, I'd do Progress Checker. It should tell you if you need to get any further support or assessment.
