Volume control. Child with loud, high pitched voice

Hi everyone,

My youngest was born with a great set of lungs and a very high pitched voice.

She is now aware that her voice is too loud, she has commented that other children don’t like playing with her because of her voice, so she swings between too loud and whispering, she doesn’t seem to have a mid volume range.

Are there any techniques or suggestions to help her with this?

Thanks

Is her hearing ok? It might be worth getting it checked as often people with mild hearing loss cannot tell if they are being too loud or too quiet.

Thanks @BunnyRuddington, I really don’t think it’s that, she can hear the word chocolate from a mile away, but might be worth mentioning at her next check up.

Speech and language therapy can work on voice. As it's having an impact on her play and relationships, I'd ask for a referral.

Thanks @misselphaba, she does have speech therapy sessions at school because on top of the loud voice she had a tongue tie that was operated on a bit late, si I will ask about this as well.
