Hi all

My little girl (first baby) Is lovely and smily but she’s like a kaleidoscope of emotions and can flip to inconsolable crying in seconds. I’ve noticed that sometimes she seems completely wired, particularly towards the end of the day. She acts like this -
Arms flailing out
Hands shaking
Eyes darting all around
Stretching her legs suddenly
Panting
Jumping at every little thing

Is this normal? Anyone know what this means??
Hmm

Sounds like she’s overtired. How are her daytime naps?

Overtired and wired! Both my boys have been the same. Could go from fine to hyper in the space of 5 minutes. It gets easier as they get older I promise.

@Vicky1989x not good, only around 40m at a time and she wakes up crying a lot. (Unless in the sling where she sleeps longer) I try and get her to nap anywhere in the day rather than up in her room, as I wanted to keep the bedtime routine for bedtime. She goes down really well for her night sleep.

Struggling to get any daytime routine at all

Another one who think that she's overtired. If she sleeps in the sling, will she sleep in the pram?

I'd aim to go out for a long walk about an hour after she's woken. So feed her, change her and aim to be walking an hour after wake up.

Once she's had the first good sleep, it might make the rest of the day easier Smile
