How upset should I be?

My 3YO just started swimming lessons. In just a few weeks she's gone from being too afraid to even get in the water to really joining in and loving the lessons and happily participating. However, today they had to do an activity where they had to swim through a 'tunnel' of pool noodles whilst the instructor poored water over their head. Mine did this once and got quite upset and didn't want to go through again. I explained this to the instructor and she very abruptly said 'well it's part of the lesson to get wet' and then just poored the water over her head anyway saying 'see the rain will get you whether you go through the tunnel or not'. Fortunately it doesn't seem to have totally put my pretty sensitive child off and she was happy to continue the lesson and wants to go back next week. However it's really bothered me. How dare some obnoxious person who's practically a stranger do this to my child when I explicitally told her she didn't want it?! I spend my whole life pussyfooting around my kid so that she still wants to do these things as she's incredibly avoidant and for someone just to do this totally undermimes me tbh. Am I being melodramatic? Is this what I should expect from a swimming lesson? I really want to move her but tbh I'm not sure there's going to be much alternative and she really is loving swimming. Thanks x

Whoah! Of course you're not being melodramatic. I'd be furious! That's the way to give a kid a proper fear 🤦‍♀️
