Lockdown babies?

Hi all

My son was born in lockdown and is now over 1 and he won't go to anyone else at all apart from me and his dad. I am away visiting my family (on my own) and my son won't go to anyone at all so I can on with things, even things like going to the toilet, making dinner etc he clings to my leg and hysterically cries...what can I do about this? I'd like to go to the gym etc while I'm at my parents but I don't want to leave my son in distress. I'd like him to relax around my parents. I've tried to show him that they're not scary and we've tried playing together etc and he just won't take to them ! He's even crying while he's in his highchair if they go near him.

Has anyone else got a lockdown baby in a similar situation? Thanks!

My DS though he cries hysterically when we visit family now that we can. The people just have to percevere tbh. It took a bin lorry to get him to snap out of it at my grandparents house last week. After that DS played with them happily then gave cuddles and kisses before he left. His grandparents were harder as we was younger it took a long time and lots of time spent with them for him to come round.
