To feel like a bad mum

My 18 month old LB has been going to nursery for almost a year he absolutely loves it

He rarely naps there anymore and if he does it's because he's super tired (only napped there twice since moving up a room)

Today when picking him up the lady told me that before his nap he had scratched a couple of children's faces and it had left a mark :( she did say that she's sure it's because he was extremely tired and is not normally like this

Just can't shake the feeling off that I have failed by not teaching him that it is wrong to do that... but then again have never really had the chance to as im rarely with him around other kids

Any reassurance would be appreciated I know I am probably overthinking this but it is just embarrassing getting told this plus I'd be upset if my child came home with scratches on their face from another child! 😫😫

My daughter is nearly two and is going through a stage where she wants to hit her little sister, meaning I have to constantly watch them when they are together.
You are not a bad mum, so many children go through phases of doing the same.

He is 18 months. I am surprised they even told you. Hes not naughty. Hes getting a reaction. Don't give it a second thought. Hes tired and doesn't know how to express that feeling, probably wanted the other children to leave him alone.
