My 3yo boy used to be a mummy's boy and would follow me everywhere and I loved it. My husband is self employed and hasn't had much work recently and I now find my son going to my hubby all the time for cuddles and soothing etc and if I'm around he will go to me but if he has a choice it's my hubby and I'm heartbroken

It all sounds pretty normal. It doesn't mean he loves you any less, it just means he's realised that Dad is good for cuddles as well. Try not to take it personally.

Thank you for replying but how do I know he loves me? How can anyone ever really know? He's speech delayed too so he can't tell me or my hubby he loves us but it just seems obvious I'm being shunned

I think you might be overthinking this. I've never met a toddler who didn't love his Mum. Do you any time with him on a one to one, like taking him to the park, playgroup or library?

Yea I do all that but since my new baby 9 months ago we don't do as much but I do when I can. We have little games we play together in the house when the baby is napping
