Asymmetrical crawling

LO (9 months) has just started crawling. Shes using 1 knee and 1 foot. My mum saw it and said its not normal so I stupidly googled it and it suggests there could be a problem with her hips/ spine and possibly autism.
I've tried getting in touch with HV but no luck.
Anyone else's baby do this? Do I need to try and correct her? Do I need to be worried???

I posted the exact same thing when my DD started crawling like that. It’s normal... after about 1.5 months she started crawling on all fours.

Thank you. Did you do anything ti encourage her to all 4s?

@Geordiebabe85 Just gave her as much time to practise as possible! Then one day she just started doing it.

She carried on with her own little unique style and only crawled "properly" after she walked at 16 months. I spoke to the hv and she said it was fine and lo had just found her own way and cos it worked for her she carried on. Hv checked her hips so it is probably worth getting checked just in case there is a hip issue.

Lo is now 2 and runs, jumps, hops, climbs stairs absolutely fine.

I also worried about autism and she does have some traits but not so much that cause a problem and I don't think she would ever get diagnosed with it.

Trust your gut. You say there's other things you're worried about so it's probably worth speaking to hv but please be reassured that the crawling thing isn't necessarily a problem.
