Are these concerning - questions on imitation and gesturing

Hi all. So i have posted a couple times recently as i have had some concerns with my now almost 9mth old daughter. I have some questions and i would really appreciate some feedback from this group.

  1. Imitation. Does imitation mean the child doing or trying to do something in response to me doing it (reciprocally) or does it mean once they do or try to do the gesture at some point. Example does it have to be if i wave she waves back or claps back right away ; or is it as long as she has the ability to do the gesture?
  1. Is it concerning that she will start to do a gesture and do it for maybe one or 2 days and just stop. For a month or 2? Example she started clapping at 7 months and did it for 2 days. Stopped and started back at almost 9 mths for a couple days (even reciprocally eg during the song if youre happy and you know it)and now its gone again. Like if she forgot. During the song she is just grabbing the hands like she forgot how to clap. Similarly she started up babbling a lot at 8mths and 2 days ago we had full monologues with reduplicative babbling and so many consonants like bababababa mamamamama nana ananana and then poof. Not hearing any babbling past couple days. Just grunting and like a groaning.
  1. She does not imitate facial expressions. No tongue out etc. Just smiles when we smile at her
  1. She can crawl on all fours but it seems like she gets around faster while army crawling so she starts off with the proper crawl and then reverts to army crawl. She is pulling to stand and seems

Generally she can do a lot but wont do it consistently. Its like she forgets the skill for a while

She passes the 8mth asq. Has great gross and fine motor skills. Good receptive language and good eye contact and social.
The not gesturing and imitation worries me

I think with waving, it's as long as they know when to do it and to try to do it in the appropriate moment.

Eg. "Wave bye bye to Auntie Jo!"....and she waves having seen you do it.

But she's very small still OP....not clapping on cue isn't a worry. And waving can take a bit longer.
