9months old doesn't sleep at nights

Good morning mums, I'm starting to be completely exhausted and desperate.

My son turned 9 months last week and for past month he is waking up at nights, standing in his cot and demanding to be picked up. I'm trying to offer him milk from bottle but he drinks just a little bit and then wants to sleep, but he won't.

I've used to put him to sleep at 8pm, he slept until midnight feeding and then he slept till 6 am. Now he wakes up at midnight, then again at 3am and then at 5am, and although he is visibly tired he wants to be awake and it is hard to put him back to sleep..

Do you have idea why is he doing this all of a sudden and how to treat it!

Thank you for your advice

He's a nine month old baby. That's why he's doing it.

I know that's a really unhelpful answer but it's the truth.

You'll never really know why. All you can do is keep trying milk, water, temperature, weird sounds check, itchy labels check etc.

There’s a sleep regression between 7-10 months... could be that. It’ll pass - my DD done the same at 8.5 months, I just stayed consistent and it passed within a couple of weeks.
