Hi everyone

My DD is turning 2. She has been having formula follow on milk till now since 1 years. She tolerates cows milk well and loves it in her cereal. Am i right into thinking that I don't have to boil the milk? She likes it warm so i'm thinking just heat it up a little in the pan? Does anyone heat up in the microwave? If so, is this ok to do? Mum and SIL are horrified that I wont be boiling the milk Confused. I have tried researching online and people are giving mixed answers. What do you do?
TIA Smile

My LO is 18 months and been having cows milk since 12 months. I have never boiled it, never been advised to boil it and actually think boiling it would ruin a lot of the nutrition in it! Your doing the right thing, trust your gut!

I've never heard of boiling milk in my life. Most advice says make sure it's not too hot! I just stick it in the microwave for 30 secs and then shake it if it's in a bottle or stir it to make sure it's not too hot.

It's pasteurised, so it has been heat treated, unless you get it fresh from cow.
No need to boil.
I just microwave it for 30 secs, just need to make sure it's mixed and not too hot before giving to the kiddo.

Sounds like an old wives tale, I think you'd only boil milk if you were milking the cow yourself! If it's pasteurised then there's no need.
