Hi
For the last couple of days, my 4 month old seems to be drooling more (only symptom of potential teething, nothing else alongside this symptom, no red cheeks or signs of teeth - just eating her hands and mine for that matter!)
Well after drinking her bottle, about half an hour later maybe earlier, if lying down, she seems to start choking/coughing like it's stuck in her throat.
If I lift her up, and pat her back, she seems to do a few coughs like something is stuck in her throat, really struggle with it and then eventually she clears it, and thick formula that seems to be combined with drool, and it usually launches down my back or on the floor with force. She generally burps whilst eating but sometimes falls asleep.
She's then absolutely fine once she's done it.
This isn't every feed and nothing has change. She's been on the same formula since around 8 weeks.
I'm struggling with Google. Just says spit up or reflux and during feeds where as this is afterwards. It's quite scary when she does it, I worry she can't breathe (but she always seems fine afterwards).
Any ideas? I'm honestly sick of raising everything with the GP for them to not see us (due to Covid) and just tell me it's all development stages (I never feel confident with their responses). I lost my first baby so I have probably raised more with them than the usual parent.
So I thought I'd ask here, before I start to put pressure on healthcare professionals to see us and raise something else with them. The last time I raised something (constant straining) they just told me it's completely normal and I felt very silly!
Thank you
