Picked DS up from nursery and his nursery nurse came over saying do you know your ds can throw a ball up in the air and hit it with a tennis bat and no-one else in the nurery can. They have put in his development book his handeye co-ordination is exceptional.
I didn't think this was a strange thing for a boy his age to do, He gets alot of people commenting on his football skills he plays with the 3-4 year olds on our street like hes there age(dp said he is going to put a bet on him playing for england). He can play golf with mini clubs and we have just started taking him ice skating/hockey which he is really getting the hang of now.
Is he above avarage or are they over-reacting?

At 22 mths i find that above average, it could be how much input you actually put in though. maybe if everyone put in as much effort as you, most kids would be like that and it could then be average iyswim!

At 34 years I can't throw a ball up in the air and hit it with a tennis bat - to me it sounds like he's doing pretty well!!

My friends DS is like this, he can also shoot a basket and get it in!! They are an exceptionally sporty family as the dad was a semi-pro footballer. Their 5 year old plays football for the county. I think, some
kids are just advanced in certain areas as your DS obviously is, good for him!! Maybe a future british tennis player

Dp is a semi pro footballer aswell thats where he gets that from and i played ice hockey so he gets that from me
