Does tummy time on boppy pillow count?

My 18 week old is a reflux baby and thus has HATED tummy time since birth. He just face plants and cries. Recently I've been trying it on a U shaped boppy pillow and he's much happier and will hold his head up for a good while. Does it count? I'm quite worried about his physical development as he's also making no attempt to roll either.

If he's happier then it counts. Just keep trying as his reflux improves. It's not only for his muscles but also his head! If he's always on his back, his head will flatten. Ask your doctor though for extra reassurance.

I hope so as it's all my two ever did. One has silent reflux and hated it and the other had not silent reflux and although didn't hate it just projectile vomited if she did it!

All tummy time counts. Can put him on his tummy on you if he doesn't like being on the floor. Carrying him in a sling will also work the same muscles and another good alternative for babies who don't like being on the floor.
