Acting different with dad

Our 11m old DC seems to act differently depending on which parent he’s with. There seem to be more boundaries with DP and I don’t quite know why as we have both been here for the last year in the house with him. He does half of everything parenting/house upkeep wise.

Where has this come from?

As an example tonight we both had one of those ice pole things and DC was sitting on DPs lap whilst DP ate it, he let DC lick it and it’s was cute watching him get so excited about his turn. Soon as DP finished he threw himself off DP crawled over to me at break neck speed little dramatic and I picked up up on my lap, there was no polite waiting for his turn to lick the tasty treat! He just yanked it from my mouth and started chewing it. Rinse and repeat.

Why is he politely waiting for DP to offer him but literally takes it from my mouth Shock ?

Presumably because DP made him wait and you let him grab it and chew it?

Either because he realised you had something that he now knew he loved and wanted it all, or because you let him take it from you. Don't let him take it from you and he won't !
