ADHD kids?

Hey so I have a 2.5 YO and I've been anxious for ADHD signs for ages.

Having ADHD myself I am naturally looking for them all the time, but as I wasn't diagnosed until 17 I haven't a clue what signs to look out for in young children. Or even if they are present at this age.

My DD is so lively but in an amazing way she's so funny and happy but she's gogogo all day.

She does have moments often where she will he start staring in space mid asking for something which is relatable.

I'm just looking for tips of any parents who have had children diagnosed with ADHD

When I got my diagnosis my mum said 'great now people will think your disabled' so she is totally not my go to for advice 😂

I also have adhd and I'm an SEND teacher. I also often wonder if my kids have / will have it. But 2.5 is too young for sure

@YarnOver it's so confusing I guess as you have the education on it it's different but as a child I wasn't hyper and 'crazy' at all. If anything I hated speaking to adults (even family members outside of mine). Oh.. and never listened to anything.

People always assume your bouncing off the walls if you have it.

I'm not sure what people think of me. Probably that Im scatty. I was expelled from school though because of it . I can't say I mind what people think of me though
However 2.5 is too young for both concerns about it and a diagnosis.
