Hi everyone,
Just looking for some advice, my little boy is just gone 2, he only has 4 words, he understands everything we say, he's a sociable little boy and has great interaction with his older sister, for example when we ask him to feed the dog? He goes to the press and gets his food and puts it in the bowl etc, I suppose I'm just looking to hear stories and advice from other mums who had late talkers, we have enrolled him for speech therapy and currently waiting on an appointment Smile

She's a girl.. I'm just convinced this pandemic hasn't helped.. but I do worry 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm the same, definitely hasn't helped not being around other people to help with language development, how many words does your little one have?

Have you spoken to a HV?

catcat31 · 11/05/2021 10:41

Yes I did at 17 months, she enrolled him for speech therapy, but still waiting for appointment

Why at 17 months if you don't mind me asking? And does your little one babble alot?

catcat31 · 11/05/2021 12:02

Because I felt worried at that time and she signed him up to put my mind at ease, that's the only reason

Does he babble quite abit?

catcat31 · 11/05/2021 12:15

Yes he does, he understands what we say to him, he just seems more interested in doing things than talking
