Can 6 teeth really come through at once?

Evening everyone,

DS is nearly 10 months old. His bottom two teeth came through a few weeks ago. They took a couple months to come through, he had a few days of whinging every couple weeks before they finally broke through.

For the last 36 hours, he has had a slightly elevated temp (37.4-37.9), very upset, lots of crying, sleeping a lot, and eating maybe a third of each meal, breastfeeding much more, only wants me despite being very close to daddy, and hot to touch.
Usual temperament is - eats everything in sight, breastfeeding decreasing, rarely cries, but can be whingey!

I've just seen his mouth after another long sleep, and it looks like the top two teeth are moving down, as well as two on each side of his bottom teeth.
Can 6 teeth really come through at once? It would explain why he's reacting so strongly this time round!

Thanks all

Yes, they can.

Yes. A friend's little one had no teeth until 20 months then they all, including 2 year molars came through in about a fortnight. She had a very miserable fortnight though.

Thank you!

It turned out to be a virus that my little boy had last week (the rash he broke out in confirmed it)

That being said, I can still see around 4-6 teeth moving up slowly as the gums are getting whiter
