2 or 3 meals at 10 months?

My little is 10 months and will generally have 3 bottles a day and 2 meals. Today for example he had bottle at 1am, then bottle at 6am, scrambled egg and tomatoes at 10.30am when he woke from morning nap. He's asleep again now and at about 4 will have salmon and veg pie then prunes. He goes to bed at 7 and will have a bottle just before, then one in the middle of the night, does this sound ok or should he be having 3 meals? He's a chunky bum so I've no weight concerns.

Is there no time for breakfast in the morning before the nap?
And then the 10.30am meal could move to lunchtime and the 4pm could move slightly later.
Have you thought about reducing the overnight feed too?

I'll give the breakfast a try thankyou, his sleep is all over the place at the moment so I feel like I'm just working around that. Today for example he's slept 9am-10.30am then 2pm-5.30pm! I actually had to wake him up at 5.30!

He tends to wake between 1am-3am and I think we automatically give him a bottle but we'll try just a cuddle tonight 👍

My DD is 11 months but had the same routine since 8 months and I do:-

6:30-7am: bottle
8am: breakfast
9:30am: nap
12pm: lunch
1:30pm: bottle
2/2:30pm: nap
4:30/5pm: dinner
6:45pm: bottle
7/7:30pm: bed

Perhaps adding that extra meal might stop him waking in the night?

I realise you didn’t ask for a routine, apologises but thought it might help you to add that extra meal in. Smile

I give my 9 month old 3 meals a day as well as the occasional snack. Just because I offer it doesn't mean he eats it all though!!

The routine too was really helpful Vicky thankyou! He's had 3 meals today but only 2 bottles, one at 6am and he's having one now, tomorrow I'll try ur routine of the third bottle in the afternoon and that'll hopefully cut out the nighttime one. Anything will help now as our 2nd boy is arriving on the 6th of July! Eek!!
