My daughter is 34 months old and loves music and dancing. I wondered if I should try her at baby ballet. We tried once before when she was just 2 and it was a desaster! She enjoyed herself dancing to the music but not following any of the instructions, when the teacher tried to make her sit in the circle and point her toes she had a little tantrum and then went off to dance in front of a mirror.
She is older now and can follow instructions I don't want another embarasing experience but feel that it would do her good as she's an only child and appart from 2 sessions at nursary she dosn't get to socialise much. What do you you think, should I brave it?

DD was 3 when she started but not sure how long after her birthday it was.

My DD started at 37 months, and loved it straight away. I'd have thought by 34 months it should be fine...

I know of two that take toddlers I've tried one of them and I'm not going back to that one so I have one more to try.

If I try her again and she plays up, do I just not take her again or shoud I persavere? My Mum thinks I should have persavered with it the first time but I dont thinks it's fair on the teacher or the other budding ballerinas.

(wouldn't have thought ballet was an ideal environment for 'socialising' though - playgroup or something less structured might be more use)
