Chicken Pox Vaccine

Hi

I am in early pregnancy with my second child.

My DS is 2 in August and I'm thinking about getting him the chicken pox vaccine.

Does anyone know if I can get him it if Im pregnant and if he gets it, does he need to stay off nursery?

Thanks

It's a live vaccine so I think if you had chicken pox already it's ok but if you've never had it is a risk for a time. I'd call a pharmacist or private GP offering it to check. I remember after my daughter had the jabs I told pregnant friends before she saw them and checked they'd had chicken pox. The jab seemed to work well: she didn't catch it when her cousin had it or when it went round her pre-school.
