if you do not like Mummy-Show-Off threads.

I am so proud of him. We were at the climbing wall so that DD (5 yo) could have a go. DS decided he wanted a shot as well and he went right to the top.

He was brilliant at abseiling down (better than DD in fact) and was laughing all the time.

wow!!! me and the hubby used to go with friends and at 18mths our son wanted to join in so we'd lift him a bit so he could grab the hand-holds and feel like he was joining in.....he'll be 3 in december and i very much doubt he'll be climbing on his own within the next 12mths!!!

well done- no wonder your a proud mama!!!

Wow, that is one fit 6yo!

I used to live in Aviemore and did a fair bit of climbing but have not done any walking/climbing for years. Must dust off my hiking boots and get out with the weans.

That was the first inkling that we had with DD, she used to climb up the shelves. She started climbing when she was 4 1/2. I would not have thought of it for a 3yo but DS always has to do what DD does.

I wonder if you get proper climbing shoes for kids. They have a climbing course once a week, might start DD on that.
