Am just looking for reassurance really as my nearly 27 month seems to whinge alll day it's mainly from things not going his way but it just feels constant!! I don't even enjoy playing with him as he just gets so
Frustrated with everything, his speech is coming on nicely and he is stating to put two words together so am not sure if his getting frustrated from that. He goes to a child minder 4 days a week and she doesn't seem to have any problem apart from the normal toddler stuff, am not sure if it's me who is just very sensitive to it or he is just a extremely whinging/screaming toddler!! Anyone else in the same boat as me?

I'm not in the same boat but I have a nephew who is a toddler devil. His tantrums are horrendous and quite frankly, embarrassing.

The thing that's worked best for him is distraction. If we know he's bordering on a meltdown, we'll show him something different or take him outside or maybe into a different room. Anything to take his mind off what he is getting annoyed over.

I really feel for you, my DD is 21 months and can be extremely whiny and sometimes I get so fed up with being a parent. All my friends' babies seem to be all sunshine and rainbows and my DD is like a devil child in comparison... she has good days and bad days, and the bad days can be bloody depressing. Thankfully, I do think I'm currently in a 'more good days than bad' phase, but the balance is quite delicate!

Mostly just wanted to say you're doing a great job, being a parent is hard, and once he feels better able to communicate I'm sure the tantrums/whinging will start to reduce. Toddlers are so hard! They do call it the terrible twos for a reason! Good luck x
