My son, who's nearly 10 and who we suspect has ASC (waiting list is hugely long for assessment) is struggling with big feelings. He will cry or close down often and can't explain why or how he's feeling. This last year has been tough on him and we've been trying feelings wheels, social stories etc to get him to recognise his own feelings and be able to verbalise them a little better. Does anyone have any other go to strategies they use for this sort of thing?
