19 Month Old has started headbutting - is that normal?

He does it over and over again against the floor, doors, my head, my shoulder until he bops it so hard he cries, but then starts it again - is that normal??

My dd went through a couple of weeks of doing this and then just stopped. I guess its normal

ds2 (15mths or so) headbutts me from time to time - blooming hurts too! He also bangs his head off the floor when he feels like it.

Think it's fairly normal. At least, it hadn't crossed my mind it might not be! I think it's just part of the frustration of knowing your own mind but not being able to communicate what you know.

He doesn't do it once, he will bang and bang and bang for about 5 minutes (unless I stop him).
