4 month baby not vocal

Hi mums,

I’m a FTM. I’m really worried about my dd. She’ll turn 4 months tomorrow. She smiles and laughs a lot but not cooing much...i saw babies at this age coo a lot and do the vowel sounds. My dd only does like a single ‘cooo’ ‘ooh’ ‘eeeh’ (maybe only 3-4 times a day) sometimes with mouth closed. But she’s loud when she squeals/laughs. Anyone had/have a dc like mine? How did it turn out for you?

P.s: she passed her hearing test when she’s born.

Sounds similar to my DD. She’s 11 months now and only just started doing ‘aaa’ and ‘eee’ sounds... still no dada, mama, baba though. She just squeals, giggles and shouts all the time.

She was very quiet at 4 months but at 5 months it was like a switch went off and she’d be squealing all day so I’m sure she’s fine!
