7 week old - sitting up

Help.

My 7 week old is refusing to lie down, be cuddled, be supported in any way. All he wants is to sit up (supported by our hands under his arms, with fingers at base of his head just incase)

He has quite good head control but is no where near ready to sit up, or use any of the seats available for this.

What can I do to free up our hands?! What could be making him like this?

He has reflux however its been under control for the past 2 weeks or so, so I don't think it's that.

Do we just have a nosey child? Lol

An outward facing baby carrier?

Both my reflux cmpa babies were like this. Not much we could do. Both sat independently ridiculously early. Both walked at 9 months. They were nosey Grin

My reflux baby was also like this. Try a sling/baby carrier?

Try a sling. Keeps him upright and frees up your hands.

How about a not-too-restrictive bouncer? The baby bjorn one has different angles, one of which is quite upright. It's really light, too, so easy to move around the house as needed. We got ours secondhand, but I think other companies might make a similar style now as well.

I'll look into the bouncer thanks.

We have a sling and he isnt that keen on it unlesd he is wanting a nap.

He literally just wants to be held upright.
