Hi all,
My two year old (soon to be 3) went to the hospital with my husband on Monday to speak to a paed about his reoccurring fevers. They took a blood sample from my son, which was a very traumatic experience for him. Since then he hasn't been himself, keeps saying he is sad. Had a regression when it comes to settling to play with other children, waking up at night crying.
I've tried talking to him about why he is sad and he basically explained in his terms about the blood test and we talked a bit about the hospital visit. But he is still very upset/ not himself.
Has anyone experienced this or perhaps their little one experiencing a different traumatic event? If so how did you deal with it? Any suggestions on what to do? I've been googling but it seems all the suggestions are for older children.
Many thanks in advance.
