Stopped babbling - 11 months old

My baby will be 1yo is a couple of weeks and it has been 3 weeks now that she has stopped babbling. She was never a chatty baby and just started babbling around 8.5 months.

Her babbling pause coincided with when she started nursery full time 3 weeks ago and it starts worries me.

She responds well to her name when we call her meaning that her hearing is well. She is also quite happy, full of energy. She has also just learnt how to clap, she is waving occasionally and she points/shows with her palm. She is also learning to walk independently, only just yesterday made her first steps on her own.

She brings me books to read, laughs and enjoys peekaboo games.

It’s just that she is not vocal at all. She used to say mamama , miamiamiam (for food) and bababa, but this is all gone now. She just gruns and says ehhh ehhh ehhh, when she want to draw our attention.

Just a note that we don’t speak English at home and maybe listening to English was a shock for her at nursery.

If you have any similar experience, advice or ideas on what to do, please let me know.

Thanks all x

Can I ask how things are now xxx

@Bombleton sorry for my late response.

She is still behind and I am still worried... She is 22 months old now. How old is your little one? I just made a new post and asked for advice!
