18 month old boy not walking

Hi everyone,

So as the title suggest my wee guy isn't walking yet. He pulls himself up, climbs and cruises furniture. Roughly about 3 weeks ago he was walking a good 6 or 7 steps on his own. He walked from the kitchen to the living room when he slipped and fell back and ever since he won't walk unless you are holding his hand. Do you think this is because he got a fright. I have to mention that he does tend to cruise a lot on his tip toes but does put his feet flat to walk when prompted, his dad was also a late walker.

I've phoned the health visitor this morning and she wants to come out and check him next week. I've given myself the fear looking this up online and guess I just wanted some reassurance or if anyone has been through this?

Sorry for the long post, thank you 🥰

All sounds perfectly normal and sounds like a confidence thing since his fall.

Does he have any shoes yet? They sometime help Smile

Thanks for your reply!

Yeah he has shoes but always seems to get his feet tangled. The moment he realises you are letting his hand goes he panics and falls to his knees. Just worried about him and. Trying to think of ways to help him xx

We got DS over his lack of confidence by sitting in the floor and holding out chocolate Grin
