Help!!! Dd just got paint on the wall.

Dd has some ELC Easy Painters and decided to bash them on the paper. It made a pretty picture but then I realised it had splashed pink marks all over the cream painted wall. Any ideas how to remove it (before dh comes home and goes mad). I've tried baby wipes which get the worst off (along with some of the wall paint) but there are still faint marks on the wall.

Do you have any of the paint left, in the garage/shed maybe?

totallyhatefireworks · 07/11/2007 10:10

or if you remember the name of the colour, go and buy a tester.

Try wiping it with wd 40 it works on crayon. I have had great difficulty removing elc paint from things usually the red which will not budge.

OMG [shock) My dd 2 did exactley the same thing last week also with Elc easy painters, thankfully it was my DH that was supervising her at the time .

but im sorry to say that nothing we tryed worked and ended repainting it over, didnt try the WD40 though.

Hope it comes off ok.

Mum suggested using washing up liquid in water. This seemed to shift it. You can just about still see the spots if you look closely but I'm sure he won't notice. I'll try the WD40 tomorrow when he's at work. That might work on the crayon that I noticed there too. Don't know how long that's been there. Thanks for the ideas.

never tried ELC painters, but also there's Mr Clean magic erasers. can use them wet or dry, supposed to be amazing!

lol i remember those days well.......didn't let it bother me though and when ds1's father moaned I told him to get a life and learn there are more important things to worry about than a little bit of painting on a wall by a toddler...its not the end of the world. Mind you i kept the picture there lol as a memory of his first bit of art work.
