Worrying too much? Or do we all do it?

I worry a little too much about my son at school. He is in reception and having a great time, seems to have enough mates and I generally hear all good stories about his day but.. I worry all the time that he won't enjoy school as he gets older.

I hated school so so so much (yeearrrss agoooo) and always had that fear that he will be bullied or not have enough friends..etc..etc

Out of curiosity do any other 'post school dislikers' (or even if you loved school back in the day) get worried that they'll be lonely or bullied etc..

This is literally me fussing over nothing I'm sure because he always has a great time I just wondered who else has those bad school memories and fret a bit too much about their kids now it's their turn?

Keep the grumpy comments at bay it's just a curiosity question x x x x x 🙂

I was bullied hideously at school bit that was me and I had to learnt that our children are very different creatures.

Try to talk to him as much as he's willing. I've found that very helpful as they've told me about bullying and we've been able to sort it.

I had similiar experience in school & not surprisingly we seem to all have the same worries.
Unfortunately some people don't teach their children empathy & life will be cruel at times.
I'm just hoping mine when they start will find one or two friends & not be a follower.
To answer your question, yes I worry a lot about it, I know it stems from anxiety given my own experience.

I'm the same! Didn't enjoy primary school and badly bullied in secondary school. My DS starts school in September and I am being really positive about it to him but I've shed a few tears privately!

No advice but its so hard

Thanks for the answers!! When your child is off school it suddenly seems like five minutes ago that I was dreading those high school years myself!!
