6mo can roll but isn't interested

Hi all
I have an almost 6mo DD. From around 3.5 months, she started being able to shuffle backwards by doing bum lifts and then pushing on her legs to move her back (does that make sense?). She could roll from front to back from about 4 months- she did it once, then didn't do it again for ages. Then did it a couple of times but it's almost like she forgets? A few days ago she started rolling the other way! She did it a couple of times the day after, and now not interested to do it again. If I put her on her front, she tries to bring her knees forward but won't roll back again. Her favourite thing to do is just to travel around the room on her back. It seems she is satisfied with this mode of transportation and just isn't too bothered with rolling either way lol. Should I be concerned? Just wondering if this will delay her sitting and crawling etc.

I don't really have any advice but just to say my DD is the same where she can roll but she doesn't generally do it. It's like she practiced loads , did it for a week and it's almost like she's forgot how to do it.
I think they just move on to master new things, this is what I find with my daughter. She'll continually do something like.. blow raspberries for a week and then she just won't do it again!

Hi @Fedfedfedup my DD never really rolled. She's now 2 and is absolutely fine developmentally. She runs, jumps, climbs etc.

She was similar to how you describe. Rolled a couple of times then never bothered. We used to go swimming and all the other babies were rolling over and crawling off around the changing room. If I put my DD on her back, she couldn't get up! Like a turtle! Even tho she could crawl herself. It was actually quite useful. So I wouldn't worry as long as she is developing fine overall. They do things in their own time.

Xxx

Oh and she started sitting up and crawling at exactly the right times too so it didn't delay her x
