10 month old weight issue

My 10 month old got weighed today by a health professional for the first time since he was 11 days old (cheers covid)

He's 16lb 5oz and on the second centile. When he was born he was 7lb 3oz

They now want to weigh him regularly and monitor due to the drop and the fact he's quite small. Anyone else had similar issues?

We've never really been concerned about his weight. We weighed him ourself with our scales as accurate as you can and he was doing ok. Fed no issues, wet nappies. He was breastfed so didn't know exactly how much he was getting.

He's now formula fed 3 bottles a day and 3 meals. Eats everything! Not sure what else we could do.

If he's in the right clothes for his age and active, I'd try not to worry too much.

You can always offer him some calorie dense foods like avocado on toast, oily fish twice a week, smooth nut butter on white toast and add mascarpone to pasta sauce.

This guide is pretty good as it gives sample menus and portion sizes. You'd probably need from page 77 Smile
