Just spoke to my new health visitor (we moved into a different county) who was surprised to find out my son hadn’t had a 10 month development check (this would’ve been pre-COVID) ... so they’re wanting to do a 2 year check ASAP. I mentioned to her a few things im concerned over, however I wondered what sort of things they look for at a 2 year development check?
I think my son (along with a lot of children) has missed out on a fair amount (no nursery, playgroup, child interaction) that would’ve helped him learn so much more. He had only just turned one when we went into the first 2020 lockdown. I’m now worrying for no need over this 2y check, mainly because he’s missed out on things that might have helped his learning and development!
What sort of things do they look for or ask?
