Jumperoo for heavy baby?!

Hiya,

My little girl was born 9lb 2oz and has definitely continued being a 'bigger' baby.

We are looking into getting her a jumperoo for when she can hold her own head up and I looked at one and it says 'max weight 25kg'. My only issue is at her last weigh in at 2.5 months she weighed 15 pounds!

I know she will probably be able to use an actual Jumperoo for around a month before she is too heavy (now three months' and I don't want to spend £100 on something that she can only use for a number of weeks. I really want her to have fun using something like a Jumperoo and just wondered if anybody else had heavier babies that found a specific brand that can hold a heavier baby?

Thanks!

My son is 8 months. He is quite a chunky boy. He is heavy, he got one for Xmas. He’s fine in it. I found his weight gain slowed down a bit after 4 months & the weight is going on much slower. He’s about 10kg currently & trust me he looks like a tank haha.

Babies' weight gain really slows down after the first few months. If your little girl continues to follow the centile she was on based on her birth weight and weight at 2.5 months, then she won't reach 12 kg until she's over a year old, so she really should be fine with a standard jumperoo.
