I don’t know where We have gone wrong. She’s the youngest of 3 and is 5 in July.

She is horrible! She screams, smacks and cries hysterically if she doesn’t get her own way, she has an attitude and is horrible to everyone. She sleeps anywhere from 9-11 hours a night.

She screams over things like not being able to have something bad to eat at 7am etc.

My older two weren’t like this (13&11 now).
It’s making us all miserable because she starts from the min she wakes until she
Goes bed. We’re currently trying a sticker chart but it isn’t working well and a calm out spot which just makes her more hysterical.

Help before I have a nervous breakdown.

My 4 year old went through a similar phase. We tried positive reinforcement. I got her a unicorn reward box, she gets 2 stars a day if she's been good and when the box is full she gets a new book. It's worked really well! When she is badly behaved she loses the stars. Also lots of praise when she does good things!

In the same situation at the moment. 4 year old DD has very short temper, is rude and demanding and screams/escalates to tantrums if she is (nicely) denied something. We’ve been trying to help her recognise her emotions but it doesn’t seem to help in the moment. Really not enjoying parenting at the moment ☹️
