Hello Everyone ,

I have a little boy who will be 7 months old on 6th March 2021. He was born at 37+1 weeks , and weighed a tiny 4lbs 15oz. He still can't sit up , or roll over. His head control isn't brilliant , he can hold his head partially but not fully.

The health visitor came round today and measured his head, and his head has jumped 2 centiles, so I've got to ring the doctors tomorrow morning to be referred for a scan. I'm panicking now as I've googled hydrocephalus.

Any mummies had babies with hydrocephalus? Any symptoms ?

I can’t help on the hydrocephalus front but just wanted to say my DD was born at 36 weeks and only weighed 3lb 9oz. She’s almost 10 months now but she is still unsteady at sitting and only learnt to roll back to belly at 8.5 months! I haven’t seen a health visitor since she was 6 weeks but I measure her head, length and weigh her regularly myself and her head has jumped centiles.. I’ve never been concerned since she was so small at birth and probably just catching up. That’s probably all it is.

All babies are different - my cousins boy is 6 weeks older than my DD and he was crawling at 6 months, yet my DD has no interest.
