Toddler at dinner time

We are having problems with our daughter who is 3 in a few weeks time with getting her to sit at the table to eat. She keeps wanting to sit on one of our laps and also we are having issues with her eating, especially anything healthy like vegetables. Anybody got any suggestions I know this is typical toddler behaviour but at the same time dont want it to carry on and on. I wee just expecting to much of her

I found the "carrot" method always worked for my DD. If she ate her dinner in her chair (used a strap to a big chair buckle seat so couldn't actually move around) then she got a treat. If she didn't no treat and no treat the following day unless she ate her dinner that night. Sometimes it didn't work but majority of the times the thought of a pepper pig I've lolly or what ever it was at the time was enough for her to chomp it down.

Also at the start just make the dinners smaller and more of what you "want" her to eat.

Bribes are frowned upon by lots but I'm all for it if it's not abused!!!!

Do you ever cook with her? I found my DD was/is always eager to eat what ever she's "cooked" xx
