Poor feeding

My little one is 9 weeks old now, and for the last week or so feeding has been a real struggle!!! She will only take a couple of ozs at a time (If I’m lucky) which is a significant reduction from the 4-5ozs we used to do at each feed! She will drink for a bit and then spits out the bottle, so I do burping, once she has burped she will then just chomp on her fist like she is starving but won’t accept the bottle back and then just whinges/cries on and off for ages like she is hungry but still won’t accept the bottle!!!
I am at a loss as to what to do and am getting quite upset and concerned about this now!! Has anyone else experienced this? Is it just a phase?

Have you tried her with a dose of Calpol in case she's feeling unwell?

Which formula are you using at the moment?

TeeSmith · 14/02/2021 13:38

I should have said she had her vaccines on Thursday, so has been having calpol regularly for the last few days which has had little effect! The poor feeding started prior to vaccines!

We are currently using Cow and Gate from birth formula...

Have you tried a faster teat?

TeeSmith · 14/02/2021 17:23

Yeah, I have just put her up a teat size to see if that made any difference, she is the same 🥺

@TeeSmith I’d keep going with the faster teat to see if she adjusts, it can take them a few feeds to get used it!
