I was recommended the wonder weeks app and have it, but I don't understand it! I don't have the book.

Can anyone explain how it works to me please? I think I'm missing something! Or do I have to buy the book as well?

The app is the same as the book except with the app you get an option to read each chapter that relates to the particular leap your child is going through. That costs and in the end if you read all the chapters would cost you the save as the book.

But you don’t need to read the chapters, the app gives you enough info on the developmental leap your baby is making.

You’ll get an alert and baby will go through a cloudy phase (they’ll be clingy, won’t eat or sleep as much, be fussy and just generally hard work) this is when they are learning the skills. After that phase they’ll be moving into actually having those skills.
My first I could swear by the app- he was grouchy, I’d check the app and lo and behold we were going through a leap. However, my second baby is such an easy baby he shows no signs of going through a leap at all. I deleted the app after my first and had no intention of using it with my second. It was most handy to me because it gave a reason why my little one was such hard work.
