Hey!
My DS is 4 and a half years and is suspected to have ADHD. He ticks all the boxes but because of his age we are waiting to see if everything calms down for him.
But where do we get support? I feel so lonely in this. So isolated from my mums friends. So judged by the system. We are trying our best but his behaviour is hard to handle on a good day. Anyone out there feeling the same right now??

Hey! Just wondered what your little boys symptoms are? My son is 3yrs 6 months and often I suspect he has adhd and have done for a while but it's hard for people to listen as they just think he's a 'typical boy'!

Hi there, my daughter has ADHD. Diagnosed at 6, now 16. I also didn't receive support I'm afraid. I was told about a couple of parent groups that would be good to go to but I worked full time and they were in working hours.

I also felt very judged, it was honestly a horrible time. My daughter is amazing, she is really achieving at school and people always comment on how well mannered she is etc. She's incredibly arty, loves drawing and is hoping to study this at university.

She was behind at primary school for so long due to her attention issues. She literally could not sit still!

There are Facebook groups for other parents of children with ADHD, you might find them useful. To the person asking about symptoms, the majority of 3 year olds will grow out of their 'typical toddler' behaviour so it is unfortunately just a waiting game.

Thanks for replying. Glad to know I'm not alone. I feel like everyone who hasn't been where I am just thinks I need to be harder with discipline or control him better when actually he can't help it. His lack of attention is like a blue bottle at a window. There's no matter what I do or how I handle it he is just the same. He is wonderfully kind and funny but I feel that school only focuses on his behaviour that lets him down (impulses). And we all know that actually we can't control our children we just have to guide them in hope they latch on to our moral code 🤞🏻
