Hey, my little girl is tall for her age and it really worries me - ridiculous I know! Please can some other mams of talk girls reassure me! How tall are your little girls at 2? Thank you all so much x

My LG is between the 75th and 90th percentile so pretty tall. She's nearly 3 and 95cm. What is it that worries you exactly?

Good to know other gorgeous little ones are tall too! She’s just turned 2 and 88cm! I don’t really know why it worries me, but it definitely does! I guess I worry she won’t like being tall! I mean it’s ridiculous isn’t it! She’s totally happy, healthy and beautiful but it plays on my mind allll of the time!!xxx

88 cm at 2 is not really tall for her age. It is on the 75 centile a little taller than average but for every 100 children there will be 25 taller than her. In perspective an 18 year old (adult) on 75 centile is about 5ft 6 not tall at all. My dd has been on 75 centile since she was born now 3 and doesnt seem that much taller than other children.

88cm at 2 years old is perfect, don't worry about it! She won't even notice it if you never tell her something about it !

Yep I have to agree that's really not unusually tall and even if it is we all have to learn to live with our insecurities. My daughter is on a similar projectile and it didn't even occur to be to be worried tbh. There always has to be people at either extreme of the scale and there'll always be something that makes you stand out so you just have to own it. I was always short for my age. Did I like being only 4 ft 7 at age 15 and being called on it by the 11 year olds in my school who were taller than me? No I hated it! Did I die? Nope. I'm here with a happy husband, a happy daughter and a successful career... something which I'm not sure a lot of the muppets who bullied me can say now we're all grown up. Teach her to love herself and tell her every day how clever and beautiful she is because believe me however average or not she is the world won't always tell her this so she needs to hear it from someone to believe it x
